From the ground up, TheMindofSol was founded on the idea of community building. Creating the intersection between art and advocacy, Donovan and TheMindofsol have been able to connect millions across the globe in community and comradely around stories. With long-term goals of being one of the first artist-founded residency programs, TheMindofSol is dedicated to progress through community and action through creativity.

Everything we do starts as dreams, from wishing on stars and hoping for something to change. TheMindofSol is dedicated to those dreamers. For big aspirations and even bigger hearts. We begin every meeting with the phrase, “Impossible is only a few eraser marks away from possible.” The art world is often filled with barrels of doubt, and the narrative to “be realistic.” We have found that reality is made by those who dream enough to push ideas into spaces where they often are doubted. We are those people.

not content
It is easy in today’s age to create hyper-engaging viral pieces of content. It’s much harder to tell stories of humanity, connection, and hope. Donovan and TheMindofSol prefer the latter. Collaborating with mission-driven organizations like The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the AdCouncil, Donovan has created campaigns that don’t just perform well, but also tell a story and move people to change.
